Update: Magnet School

TRENTON - Some had tots asleep on their shoulders. Others attended the meeting in peace because their group had set up baby-sitting one floor down.

All told, dozens of parents descended upon the Board of Education building last night to plead for approval of a magnet school for prekindergarten to first grade.

Despite the strong showing, parents will have to wait at least another week to hear if they succeeded in melting the board's hesitation to their proposal. Whole Story...

6:00 pm, Lamberton Strides will host Mr. George DeMartino of K. Hovnanian in an open meeting at the First Baptist Church, Centre and Bridge Streets.  This is an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the proposed redevelopment of South Trenton's Champale site first hand.

6:00 pm, North Ward members of Bravo CPAC will meet at Lipinski Center on Heil Street.

Wednesday, March 24
7:00 pm (Note Special Time) Charlie Sector CPAC.  Two agenda items of note, from

6:30 pm  Representatives of the Leewood Development Group will meet with the community to present their plans for the proposed "Leewood Village Center."   All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Boys and Girls Club, 212 Centre Street.
Afterwards, Sweety Peety (219 Cass Street) will be open for coffee and dessert and a discussion on the presentation.
