Coming Next week:

After being closed more than 2 years for restoration, the
William Trent House
will re-open to the public on
Tuesday, May 11 at 11 a.m.
There will be a brief ceremony prior to the ribbon-cutting, an open house,
and a light lunch will be served.
Re-enactors portraying Mr. & Mrs. Trent will be on hand and there will be
appropriate music performed.
The public is encouraged to attend to see how skillfully the City (which
owns the house) has used the grant funds from several state and federal
sources. The goal was to restore the place to its look & feel when the
Trent's were in residence in 1719 through 1724.
The Trent House is now a first-class historic house museum, and one of the
finest examples of early Georgian architecture in the country.
