Central Jersey legislators, mayors, policy makers and over 1000 citizens
from congregations and communities in Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex,
Monmouth, Ocean and Somerset counties. Including homeowners, business
people, low income people, seniors, clergy and leaders from dozens of
suburbs and cities throughout Central Jersey.
What will be the agenda?
o Reduce property taxes o Increase services o Stabilize older communities Â
o Revitalize urban areas o Link low income housing to jobs    o Curb urban
sprawl

Museum Morning: Wild Animal Hour Â? Participants will construct wild animals
from piles and piles of nature's free materials; Afternoon: Colorful Coiled
Basketry -- Make small coiled baskets with yarn, adapted from a Native
American traditional basket craft.  Â
With Diane Smith and Beverly Mills. Morning Workshops: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. for children grades K � 3 accompanied by a parent. Afternoon
Workshops: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for 4th graders through adults. To

4-5 PM reception/dinner 5:30 PMÂ Trenton NAACP 34th Freedom Fund Awards
Dinner. Included in this year's group of honorees are the Mercer 6 - a
group of National Guardsmen who banded together to face/survive the Iraqi
experience. They will receive the President's Award which will also be
presented to the Armed Forces (in mass) and the Armed Forces (in
memoriam).  The NAACP hopes all of the community will join them in honoring
the men and women who continue to fight or lost their lives for the freedom
of others. The banquet is at the Westin Princeton, Rt. 1, reception . Cost

2:00 PM The Trenton Historical Society presents its fall program
highlighting
TrentonÂ?s unique history. Richard Hunter will present a lecture unveiling
the
results of his recently completed research work on the Eagle Cotton
Factory. in the Mill Hill Playhouse at Front and Montgomery Streets. The
research project was sponsored by the Old Mill Hill Society. The Eagle
Cotton Factory was located on the south bank of the Assunpink Creek between
South Broad Street and South Warren
Street adjacent to current day Factory Street. On this site in the second
decade of the 19th century, TrentonÂ?s first foray into the Industrial
Revolution occurred and
two of the earliest large-scale textile manufacturing ventures in the
Delaware Valley took root. The centerpiece of this complex was the Eagle
Factory, a massive five story brick cotton mill constructed in 1814-1815. At
