included in the weekly listing of events feel free to email the particulars

Sunday, March 20
The Youth Council of the Trenton Branch of the NAACP will have it's next
meeting on Sunday, March 20th at 3PM. There will be a discussion of the
details of our first fund raiser of the year, a Walk-a-thon in Cadwalader
Park in Trenton to be held on Saturday, April 9th 2005.

The group will also continue viewing the television documentary 'Eyes on the
Prize'.

"EYES ON THE PRIZE is the most comprehensive television documentary ever
produced on the American civil rights movement. It focuses on the events,
issues, triumphs and tragedies of ordinary people as they tested their power
to effect change in America during a period termed "the Second American
Revolution". "

There is a location change for this and future meetings. The new location
will be at Trenton's West Ward Fire House at 1464 West State Street (on the
corner of West State Street and Lee Avenue).

Youth Council membership is open to all ages 8 - 20. Annual Youth Council
memberships are $10. $15 includes a years subscription to Crisis magazine.

If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or know of other youth,
please have them come out!

Monday, March 21
* 6:00 pm West Ward Advisory Council, Public Safety topics to be
discussed, Special Assistant to the Mayor Barry Colicelli is scheduled to
appear. Cadwalader Branch of the Library, Hermitage Avenue.
* 7:00 pm Once again the School Board will be meeting to consider the
question of razing or restoring Trenton Central High School. You must
arrive before 7 and sign a list if you wish to speak to this matter.

Tuesday, March 22
* 5:00 pm City Council Conference, Subject: Update on Children's
Futures followed by ABC Disciplinary Hearings. 2nd Floor, City Hall, the

Wednesday, March 23
* 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Traditions, A Coffeehouse at the Old Barracks. No
Windows Most of the members of No Windows started performing during the
"great folk scare" of the sixties. Carol, Denise, Marianne and Joanne have
performed with various groups or solo for over twenty years. They came
together ten years ago to share musical styles and sterling harmonies. Their
smooth sounds and catchy lyrics combine with original arrangements to
present a wide spectrum of musical styles, inlcuding folk, doo-wop, protest,
lullaby, and rounds. At home singing together anywhere, No Windows has
performed at coffeehouses, festivals, concerts and other special events.

* 7 p.m-10 p.m Every Wednesday Trenton Gay and Lesbian Civic
Association (TGLCA) card and games night. at the TGLCA offices located at
986 S. Broad Street. Join your neighbors in a smoke and alcohol free

Monopoly, Risk and other games are available.

Fine Feathered Friends
A Hands-on Parent Child Program Focusing on Birds

Ellarslie, The Trenton City Museum
This is a six week program about birds and bird life for
parents and children ages 5-10. Learning will be through outdoor
experiences, music, art, stories and more. Projects will include walks in
Cadwalader Park, building birdhouses, making birdfeeders, learning
birdcalls, an up close and personal visit from a real bird, making your own
wings and creating a human size bird nest out of sticks! Each week we will
work on the ongoing projects (large nest and eggs) from 3:30-4:00pm and
6-6:30pm, with the main class from 4-6pm.
The program will also include additional optional weekend
trips to the Hamilton Trenton Marsh and Bird Banding in Hopewell, as well as
an additional community nest-building day followed by an official "Opening"
of the large nest. Cost is $25 per child. SPACE IS LIMITED! We are only

* Wednesday, April 6th from 9 AM - 2 PM The State of New Jersey, along
with Connecticut, Canada and the United Kingdom, will be participating in an
international-level emergency preparedness exercise. The exercise involves
multi-levels of governments including, the Department of Health, State
Police, State Attorney General's Office, county and local health departments
and law enforcement. Each county within New Jersey will participate. The
exercise is designed to measure Mercer County's ability to rapidly medicate
its population in the event of a biological agent being released into our
community. Our goal is to medicate over 500 persons per hour for 3 hours.
To achieve this goal we are seeking 900 volunteers to participate in this
worthwhile civic endeavor. The exercise will be conducted at the Mercer
County Indoor Tennis Center, Bear Tavern Road, Ewing Township, NJ
