January 17, 2005, Maria Jones, former President of the Trenton NAACP, will
be the keynote speaker at Lawrence High School's Martin Luther King
celebration. Her speech, entitled "Responding to the Wake Up Call" will
commence at 10:00 a.m. at the school auditorium and is open to the public. Â

7 -- 9 pm Trenton Museum Society Presents Joe Zook and Paul Plumeri in
Concert. The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie is hosting a special blues
concert to close out their exhibit, "Blue Notes." Joe Zook is lead guitarist
and vocalist of Joe Zook and Blues Deluxe, a seasoned, powerhouse blues band
well-known in the Central Jersey area. Guitarist, singer and songwriter Paul
Plumeri is a veteran of hundreds of clubs and festivals all over the
country. The concert also features master of ceremonies D.D. Worek and very
special guests Ernie White; Billy "Bluesboy" Holt; Angelo Di Braccio and
Rick Lawton from Blues Deluxe; Tom Reock of The Ernie White Band; John
Sopko, Bobby Merc, Greg Simon (D.D. and the Divebombers); Mario DeBartolo
(Swing This); Mikey Jr. (Stone Cold Blues Band); Professor Dave Orban (Mojo
Gypsies); Rick Baldassari (Gunsmoke); John Gulden; Ed Wilson; Danny and
Larry Fox; Chris Musica; Tom Verdi; Russ Taline; Sandra Di; Rick Pogany; Guy
DeRosa (Herd of Blues); "Cap'n " Harry Chapman; Tony "Mojo" Buford; and
Frankie Boy Pinto on the 88's.The concert is an exceptional finale to the
Trenton Museum SocietyÂ?s blues exhibit, "Blue Notes: Chronicling the Blues
from Polk County to Trenton."Cost for the blues concert is $15 for members
of the Trenton Museum Society; $20 for non-members. Ticket sales are limited
to 200 and are available on a first come, first serve basis at the door.The
Trenton City Museum is located at the Ellarslie Mansion in Cadwalader Park

Trenton Museum Society Hosts Â?ItÂ?s All About ChocolateÂ? Second Annual
Chocolate-Tasting Fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m., just in time for ValentineÂ?s
Day. The chocolate tasting is being presented in conjunction with Sweety
Peety, Trenton�s foremost confectionary. The event will feature sumptuous
chocolate truffles made with libations such as rum, kahlua, grappa and
peppermint schnapps. Demonstrators and volunteers will show guests how to
make delicious gourmet truffle treasures, and attendees will have the
opportunity to sample how well chocolate pairs with a wide variety of
liquors. The event features several different stations, including a
chocolate and liquor bar, chocolate and coffee bar, and chocolate, wine and
cheese bar. Non-alcoholic chocolate treats will also be available, and the
museum gift shop will feature wonderful chocolate ValentineÂ?s Day gifts.
Attendees can also take part in an auction to bring home even more special
gifts and treats. �This year we�re incorporating an educational component
into ItÂ?s All About Chocolate by introducing truffle making Â?Emeril-styleÂ?
to participants,Â? says Joanne Reilly, Sweety Peety. Â?WeÂ?ll teach everyone
how to make their own truffles at home and how to pair chocolate with
coffee, wine and liquor.� Sweety Peety is donating the coffee and freshly
made chocolate for the event. They specialize in personalized gourmet gifts
including cakes, cookies, brownies and chocolate and also cater event
parties featuring unique dessert items like strawberry topiaries, chocolate
breading puddings and fondue dishes. Â The cost to attend Â?ItÂ?s All About

the University of Pennsylvania; and Gail Jackson, owner, Negril Tree House
Resort, Jamaica.Â
